At Pawsome Dog Training we help our four legged friends and their human friends make the most of their friendship. We know that each animal is different, and we work with you and your pet to provide tailor-made guidance that creates long lasting change. Whether you have a new puppy or dog or already own a dog, we are here for support. Contact us for peace of mind and professional service.

As of February 2023, our Training Club is listed with the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme.

Please note, all dogs must be vaccinated and we will request to check vaccination cards before you join our club. This is to protect your dogs and our member's dogs.

1-1 DOG TRAINING

We offer 1-1 training sessions to strengthen your skills and confidence. Simply put, our training works!

We are not able to take on dogs with behaviour issues. However we will be happy to provide a list of qualified Dog Behaviourists for you to consider.

PUPPY TRAINING

We have found it’s never too early to start your training and puppies are in a key stage of development during the first six months of growth, so the sooner you start the better the relationship and foundation you will have between you and your dog.

The puppy classes offered are in 4 week blocks using positive motivational methods to ensure that you and your dog enjoy each session. The classes will cover all aspects of basic obedience and the skills that ensure you have a happier life with your pet. Please see our training overview for further details. Our Training Club is listed with the Kennel Club and you will have the option to undertake your Puppy Foundation assessment when you are ready.

KENNEL CLUB GOOD CITIZEN DOG TRAINING SCHEME

We are proud to have 'listed status' for the The Good Citizen Dog Scheme (otherwise known as GCDS). The scheme is a non-competitive training program that has been run by the Kennel Club across the UK since 1982. Owners and dogs train to a standard and have to pass an assessment for each of the four levels :

Puppy
Bronze
Silver
Gold

The aim of the GCDS focuses on responsible dog ownership, including teaching the skills a dog needs to be well-mannered, polite and obedient in any situation.

The scheme is open to all ages and breeds of dogs, and dogs do not have to be Kennel Club registered to take part.

GROUP DOG TRAINING

These classes focus on teaching you how to train those all important foundation skills to ensure we all have happy and content pets.

The obedience class will include :

‘Look at me’ or ‘Watch Me’ focus commands
Loose lead walking
Leave it control
Beginner wait and stays positions
Recalls
Good manners when meeting new people and dogs

The classes also work well as the perfect introduction into the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme Bronze award.

All Obedience classes are offered in blocks using positive motivational methods to ensure that you and your dog enjoy each session.

REGULAR WORKSHOPS & FUN DAYS

We offer regular workshops and fun sessions including: Recall, Life skills or 'Arf n Arf' a mix of different dog sports across a half day.

From 21st January 2023, we will have Fun agility sessions on Saturday mornings and Wednesday afternoons. For existing members, this is a special rate of £7.50 per session. For non-members, please contact us for session information and prices.

DOGGY DAY CARE

We are fully insured for Doggy daycare and have limited spaces. Please contact us for availability and prices.
